CREATIVITY AND CONNECTION

Rural Arts

Based at The Courthouse in Thirsk, Rural Arts brings creative opportunities to communities across North Yorkshire. Its work includes workshops, performances, rural touring and creative wellbeing programmes. During the race, natural dyeing offers a colourful way to explore everyday materials and sustainable choices.

WARMER HOMES AND ENERGY AWARENESS

Yorkshire Energy Doctor

This independent energy advice organisation, based in Selby, helps households understand bills, reduce energy costs and stay warm and well. Alongside one-to-one support, it offers training and community activities that make energy awareness practical and accessible.

MOVEMENT, ACTIVITY AND SPORT

North Yorkshire Sport

The charity for movement, activity and sport, and the Active Partnership for York and North Yorkshire. It works with communities and partners to help people move more, improve wellbeing and create fairer opportunities. The race explores how sport can open up conversations about climate action.

YOUNG PEOPLE AND OUTDOOR LEARNING

North Yorkshire Youth

HEALTHY COMMUNITIES AND FOOD

North Yorkshire Together

A partnership between Rural Arts, North Yorkshire Sport and North Yorkshire Youth, supporting communities to be happy and healthy. Its programmes include FEAST holiday activities and food, support for refugees and Village Green. Food miles become a hands-on talking point during the race.

PEOPLE, LANDSCAPE AND WILDLIFE

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust works with people and communities to care for the Dales. Its work spans woodlands, wildflower meadows, wildlife, community conservation and opportunities for young people. The Clapham visit connects the race with the people helping nature and communities thrive.
